---------------------------------------
Picture Tiles is based on the old sliding puzzle type game where you
have to re-arrange a number of tiles into a sequential order.
I have seen one version on the Amiga, I'm sure there are others, but I
thought I could improve on the program I saw, it was limited to just
one puzzle, with the usual numbered blocks.
----------------------------------------
PICTURE TILES
In the game two versions of the puzzle are shown on the screen, one on
the left, yours, and one on the right the computers.
When you click on MIX! and the picture gets jumbled, BOTH versions are
exactly the same.
The computer will not make a move until you have made your FIRST move,
when you make your first move it will then proceed to solve the
puzzle!
A record of the number of moves made by you and the computer are shown
on the screen....why? Just for the fun of it!!!
The are a few options available in the game these are:
LOAD
This will let you load a picture and select a section of the screen,
by simply clicking the LEFT mouse button.
You can load any picture created using an art package, such as Deluxe
Paint.
RESET
Will reset the puzzle, if you find the going too tough!
MIX!
Yes you guessed it. Jumbles the tiles.
BANK
Selects the games built in tiles, as when first run.
16GRID
Displays the puzzle as 16 large tiles. 15 really and 1 blank.
64GRID
This is much more difficult to complete!!! 63 small tiles and one
blank.
LOAD MUSIC
Lets you load a Sound TRACKER module to play in the background.
MUSIC ON & MUSIC OFF
Turn music on/off.
When you hear the built in track you will soon appreciate the OFF
option! But then I have no musical ability whatsoever.
QUIT
Quits the game. You will be asked to confirm this be holding down Y
yes, or N no.
****** MOVEMENT ******
You can use the CURSOR (Arrow) keys to move or if you prefer you can
use the mouse, by clicking on the arrows on the screen.
This game was wrote using AMOS, DeluxePaintIII and Octamed Pro on a
standard A-500 Plus.
